These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Gilean application ("Gilean", the "App", the "Service"). By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms.

1. Age requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Gilean.
By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and that you can validly accept these Terms.
If you do not meet this requirement, you must not create an account or use the App.
2. Description of the service
Gilean is a mobile application designed to help users view and follow a personalized nutrition and training plan.
The App may collect information provided by the user, including goals, age, biological sex, height, weight, habits, food preferences, body measurements, progress photos, food diary entries and other information useful to personalize the plan.
Based on this information, Gilean may generate content through artificial intelligence services, including nutrition plans, training suggestions, calorie estimates, macro-nutrient estimates and shopping lists.
3. Informational nature of the content
The content provided by Gilean is intended for informational, organizational and personal wellness support purposes.
Gilean does not provide medical diagnoses, medical treatments, clinical diet prescriptions or professional medical advice.
You remain responsible for your own nutrition, training and lifestyle decisions. Before starting a new nutrition plan, training program, intermittent fasting protocol or making significant changes to your diet, you should consult a physician, nutritionist, dietitian or other qualified healthcare professional, especially if you have medical conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of eating disorders or are taking medication.
4. User account
To access certain features, you must create an account.
You agree to provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date information, keep your credentials confidential and promptly inform Gilean of any unauthorized use of your account.
You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account, unless unauthorized use occurred without fault on your part.
5. Proper use of the App
You agree to use Gilean lawfully, fairly and in accordance with these Terms.
In particular, you agree not to:
- use the App for illegal, abusive or harmful purposes;
- enter false, misleading or third-party data without authorization;
- attempt to access unauthorized accounts, data or systems;
- compromise the security, availability or operation of the App;
- copy, modify, distribute or exploit parts of the App without authorization;
- use the App in a way that is incompatible with your health or with medical advice you have received.
6. AI-generated content
Gilean may use third-party artificial intelligence services to generate or estimate content.
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, approximate estimates or suggestions that are not suitable for your specific situation.
You must critically evaluate generated content and must not treat it as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Gilean may update, regenerate or modify plan content based on the information you provide, the selected language or your account settings.
7. User-provided data
You remain responsible for the data, text, measurements, photos, preferences and information you enter into the App.
By entering such data, you authorize Gilean to process it as necessary to provide the Service, generate personalized plans, show progress, save settings and improve your experience, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You must not upload data or images of third parties unless you have the right to do so.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
Gilean may be modified, updated, suspended or discontinued, in whole or in part, for technical, security, maintenance, development or organizational reasons.
Continuous, uninterrupted or error-free availability of the App is not guaranteed.
9. Third-party services
Gilean may integrate third-party services, including authentication providers, database services, storage, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence and other technical tools.
Use of those services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the respective providers.
10. Data and account deletion
You may request deletion of data associated with your account or complete deletion of your account through the features available in the App.
Deleting data may result in permanent loss of plans, questionnaires, measurements, photos, food logs and other saved information.
Some data may be retained for the time strictly necessary to comply with legal obligations, manage security, prevent abuse or resolve disputes.
11. Intellectual property
Gilean, including its name, brand, interface, design, code, text, logos and content not provided by the user, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You do not acquire any rights in the App other than a limited, personal, revocable and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gilean is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, loss of opportunity, errors in AI-generated content, decisions made by the user based on the App or uses that are inconsistent with medical advice.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights granted to you under applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
Gilean may update these Terms over time.
In case of material changes, you may be informed through the App, by email or by other appropriate means. Where required, you may be asked to accept the updated Terms again.
The date and version shown at the top identify the applicable text.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
